Resumen: El proyecto retrospectivo de los casi cuarenta años de producción de Luis Stephenberg Alers, artista puertorriqueño radicado en la ciudad de Nueva York, invita a Elsa Meléndez, curadora del Museo de Arte de Caguas, a realizar esta entrevista en la que repasa la exhibición y la carrera del artista.

Abstract: The retrospective exhibition of the nearly forty years of artworks by Luis Stephenberg Alers, a Puerto Rican artist who lives in New York City, serves as an invitation to make this interview by Elsa Meléndez, curator at the Museo de Arte de Caguas, in which they both review the exhibition and the artist’s career.

La cerámica como excusa: entrevista a Sylvia Blanco

Resumen: Sylvia Blanco constituye uno de los nombres imprescindibles de la cerámica contemporánea puertorriqueña. Su producción abarca un numeroso conjunto de formas y técnicas que le granjearon un notable reconocimiento a nivel nacional e internacional, como fueron los prestigiosos galardones otorgados en Faenza y Zagreb, así como en el Certamen de Arte del Ateneo Puertorriqueño. En esta entrevista, realizada en 2013 y publicada a manera de homenaje tras la pérdida de la artista en 2017, Blanco reveló algunos de los aspectos más destacados de su dilatada trayectoria.

Abstract: Sylvia Blanco is one of the essential names of contemporary Puerto Rican ceramics. Her production includes a set of numerous forms and techniques that made her earn a remarkable recognition in a national and international scale, receiving prestigious awards granted in Faenza and Zagreb, as well as in the Art Contest of the Ateneo Puertorriqueño. In this interview, taken place in 2013 and published as a tribute after the loss of the artist in 2017, Blanco revealed some of the highlights of her long career.

Abstract: Art historian Carlos Garrido Castellanos interviews Abdiel Segarra, an artist and arts manager, in the framework of a research on the project Continent of insularities. Art and context in the Caribbean at the Turn of the Millennium. Their conversation open many pertinent issues, focuging on the contemporary Puerto Rican scene and the multiple projects generated in it.
