Resumen: HAITÍ AQUÍ: “honneur””respect” es el título del proyecto que ocupa en la actualidad La Casa de los Contrafuertes, en el Viejo San Juan, tras su reapertura el año pasado. La exhibición reúne diferentes obras de artistas haitianos y puertorriqueños, que logran tender un enriquecedor puente de solidaridad y un camino de mutuas miradas.

Abstract: HAITI HERE: “honneur” ”respect” is the title of the project currently open in La Casa de los Contrafuertes, in Old San Juan, after its reopening last year. The exhibition brings together different works of Haitian and Puerto Rican artists, who manage to build an enriching bridge of solidarity and a path of mutual looks.

Resumen: Elizam Escobar presenta en Crescendo un conjunto de fotografías tomadas junto a su hijo en los salones de visitas de diferentes prisiones en las que pasó veinte años de su vida. La reunión de estas imágenes, junto a óleos e instalaciones del artista, se traducen en un ejercicio complejo que provoca una profunda reflexión sobre la vida y sobre el paso del tiempo.

Abstract: In Crescendo, Elizam Escobar presents a set of photographs taken of himself next to his son, in the visiting rooms of different prisons where he spent twenty years of his life. The gathering of these images, together with oil paintings and installations by the artist, is a complex exercise that provokes a deep reflection on life and the passage of time.

Resumen: Carlos Irizarry es el protagonista de la segunda edición de la exhibición Por la libre, que cubre las paredes de la Sala 2 del Museo de Las Américas con las piezas de setenta y cuatro artistas, y que rinde homenaje al célebre creador plástico, como figura histórica y como nombre clave en la historia del arte en Puerto Rico.

Abstract: The second part of the exhibition Por la libre is focused on the work of Carlos Irizarry, and it takes place in the Room 2 of the Museum of The Americas, along with the work of other seventy-four artists. The exhibition pays tribute to the acclaimed artist, as a historical figure and as a key name of the art history in Puerto Rico.

Resumen: La exhibición Artefacto, de Rafael Trelles, Nick Quijano y Elizam Escobar, se presentó en la Galería de Arte de la Universidad del Sagrado Corazón. La muestra rinde homenaje a El Boquio, al grupo El mirador azul y al lenguaje del Surrealismo y de las vanguardias históricas.

Abstract: The exhibition Artefacto [Artifact], by Rafael Trelles, Nick Quijano and Elizam Escobar, was presented at the Art Gallery of the Universidad del Sagrado Corazón. The exhibition pays homage to El Boquio, the group El mirador azul and the language of Surrealism and the historical avant-garde movements.

Resumen: Introspectiva simbólica es el título de la exhibición retrospectiva que el Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico organizó en torno a la obra del artista Elizam Escobar. Curada por Juan Carlos López Quintero, esta muestra pinturas, cuadernos y bocetos realizados en el periodo de 1980 a 1999, mientras el artista fue preso político en una cárcel federal.

Abstract: Symbolic introspective is the title of the retrospective exhibition on the work of Elizam Escobar, shown in the Museo de Arte de Puerto Rico. Curated by Juan Carlos López Quintero, it includes paintings, notebooks and sketches made by the artist between 1980-1999, when he was a political prisoner in a federal prison.
