Puerto Rico en ARCO: trayectoria, proyección y trascendencia

Resumen: La relevancia que la Feria de Arte Contemporáneo de Madrid, ARCO, ha tenido en las relaciones artísticas entre Europa y América Latina es indiscutible. En este marco, numerosos artistas y proyectos puertorriqueños han sido partícipes de ese intercambio, abarcando diversas problemáticas y conceptos, y presentando la calidad del arte producido en la isla, que dialoga y está inmerso en el panorama del arte contemporáneo internacional.

Abstract: The relevance of ARCO, the Contemporary Art Fair of Madrid, in the artistic relations between Europe and Latin America is undeniable. In this context, many Puerto Rican artists and projects have taken part in this exchange, raising different issues and concepts, as well as exhibiting the quality of the art made on the island, which dialogues and is immersed in the international contemporary art discourse.

La realidad en 48 pulgadas

Resumen: Julio Suárez ha exhibido seis pinturas en la Galería Agustina Ferreyra, en las que el color, la poesía y la emoción son protagonistas. La sinestesia es, además, uno de los valores más destacados en la apreciación de esta muestra, que recoge influencias de Paul Klee o de Henri Matisse.

Abstract: Six paintings by Julio Suárez have been recently shown in Agustina Ferreyra Gallery, in which color, poetry and emotion are protagonists. Synesthesia is also an important value in this exhibition, which includes influences from Paul Klee or Henri Matisse.

Trópicos en el 20-20

Resumen: El espacio de exhibiciones 20-20, situado en la Calle Cerra (en Santurce), presentó la exhibición colectiva que llevaba como título Tropicaleo: una provocación caribeña. La muestra reta, de manera incisiva y cínica, el cliché del paraíso tropical y muestra las contradicciones que supone vivir en un Caribe paradisiaco.

Abstract: The exhibition space 20-20, situated at Cerra Street (in Santurce), presented the colective exhibition titled Tropicaleo: una provocación caribeña [Tropicaleo: a caribbean provocartion]. The show challenges, in an incisive and cynic manner, the clichè of tropical paradise and presents the contradictions that involve living in a Caribbean paradise.

Resumen: Entre el 5 de abril al 3 de mayo se encuentra disponible en la Galería Agustina Ferreyra la exhibición colectiva Donde hay protesta, hay negocio, curada por Marina Reyes Franco, en la que se reúnen piezas de seis artistsa latinoamericnaos: Ricardo Alcaide, Gala Berger, Carolina Caycedo, Marcelo Cidade, Livia Corona y Guillermo E. Rodríguez.

Abstract: Donde hay protesta, hay negocio, curated by Marina Reyes Franco, opened at Galería Agustina Ferreyra, from April 5th to May 3rd 2014. The exhibition brings together artworks by these Latin American artists: Ricardo Alcaide, Gala Berger, Carolina Caycedo, Marcelo Cidade, Livia Corona and Guillermo E. Rodriguez.

Abstract: French artist Claire Fontaine was the protaginist of Untitled (OPEN) 2013, an exhibition at Agustina Ferreyra Gallery. Sense of humor, and a distant and sarcastic point of view are key aspects of the exhibition, and the ready-mades it includes.

Forma, vacío y simplicidad: desaparecer es una idea de Irma Álvarez Laviada

Resumen: Desaparecer es una idea es el título de la exhibición de Irma Álvarez Laviada, que pudo visitarse en la Galería Agustina Ferreyra entre septiembre y octubre de 2013. La obra de la artista española permitió observar el interés renovado por el conceptualismo y el minimalismo en la escena artística.

Abstract: Desaparecer es una idea [Disappearing is an idea] is an exhibition of artworks by Irma Álvarez Laviada, that could be visited at Agustina Ferreyra Gallery, between September and October 2013. The work of the this Spanish artist allowed us to observe the renewed interest in conceptualism and minimalism in the scene artistic.

Resumen: Con la apertura de la Galería Agustina Ferreyra en abril 2013, se presentó al público la muestra Dreaming is a Form of Planning, que reúne artistas internacionales con acercamientos a la abstración y al arte conceptual.
