Abstract: “From Silence to Discourse: Thinking with Images” is an invitation to reflect on five different images, made by different artists, in their particular times, geographical contexts and cultural backgrounds. Each of these images are analyzed from diverse points of view, revealing the perspectives of different academic disciplines, and the interest in generating a discourse that reveals the circumstances in which they were created, disseminated and they are received nowadays.
Resumen: “Del silencio al discurso: pensar con las imágenes” es una invitación a reflexionar sobre cinco imágenes distintas, realizadas por diferentes artistas, en sus particulares épocas, contextos geográficos y trasfondos culturales. Las miradas que aquí se proponen para analizar cada una de ellas ponen de manifiesto tanto las perspectivas propias de distintas disciplinas como el interés por generar un discurso que revele las circunstancias que envolvieron su creación, su difusión y su actual recepción.
