Resumen: Gracias al empeño de profesores y de estudiantes, las artes plásticas encuentran en el RUM un espacio dinámico donde exhibir y donde intercambiar experiencias y reflexiones. La profusión de escenarios y de vivencias relacionadas con el arte vienen impulsadas por la labor de las asociaciones estudiantiles.

Abstract: Thanks to the commitment of professors and students, plastic arts find a dynamic space for exhibitions and exchange of experiences and reflections in the RUM. Abundance of spaces and experiences related to art are driven by the work of student associations.

Resumen: Las exhibiciones que celebran el centenario del nacimiento de Lorenzo Homar se siguen sucediendo meses después de haber finalizado su año conmemorativo. El Recinto Universitario de Mayagüez de la UPR acoge otra de ellas, en la que se invita a los espectadores a revisar la reacción que les provocan algunas piezas ya familiares para muchos de ellos. / Abstract: The exhibitions celebrating the 100th anniversary of the birth of Lorenzo Homar continue to take place months after the end of his commemorative year. The UPR Campus of Mayagüez hosts one of these exhibitions, in which viewers are invited to review the reaction caused by some pieces already familiar to many of them.

Resumen: Jaime Rosa presentó su producción artística reciente en la Galería de Arte de Humanidades de la Universidad de Puerto Rico – Recinto de Mayagüez. En esta exhibición, el artista presenta una introspección íntima y espiritual, reflexionando sobre el concepto del amor en sus múltiples manifestaciones.

Abstract: Jaime Rosa presented his most recent artistic work at the Humanities Art Gallery in the University of Puerto Rico – Mayagüez Campus. In this exhibition, the artist presents an intimate and spiritual introspection, where they reflect on the concept of love in its many manifestations.

Resumen: La constante dicotomía es el título de la exposición retrospectiva de los veinte años de producción de Baruch Vergara. La “constante”, siempre presente en su obra, es la tensión de dualidades simbólicas que provocan reflexión e investigación por parte del artista.

Abstract: La constante dicotomía [The Constant Dichotomy] is the title of Baruch Vergara’s retrospective exhibition of his twenty years of art production. The “constant”, always present in his works, is the tension of the symbolic dualities that provoke the reflection and research by the artist.

Resumen: Ecoscapes: Envisioning Ecology and Science es el título de la exhibición de April Matisz, que cerró el 1 de noviembre en la Galería de Arte de Humanidades de la Universidad de Puerto Rico – Recinto de Mayagüez. En ella, la artista canadiense captura una mirada sutil a la ciencia, reflexionando en la faceta abarcadora, diversa e inspiradora de la naturaleza.

Abstract: Ecoscapes: Envisioning Ecology and Science is April Matisz’s recent exhibition, which closed on November 1st at the Humanities Art Gallery of the University of Puerto Rico – Mayagüez Campus. There, the Canadian artist captured a subtle look at science, reflecting on the comprehensive, diverse and inspiring facet of nature.

Resumen: El artista ponceño Manuel Rodríguez Vega presentó su exhibiición Espacios de tránsito, elementos y horizontes, en la Galería de Arte del Departamento de Humanidades de la Universidad de Puerto Rico – Recinto Universitario de Mayagüez. En sus obras se observan sus potentes vivencias, memorias y sentimientos vitales.

Abstract: Manuel Rodríguez Vega, an artist from Ponce (Puerto Rico) presented his exhibition Spaces of Transit, Elements and Horizons, at the Art Gallery of the Department of Humanities of the University of Puerto Rico – Mayagüez Campus. His powerful experiences, memories andvital feelings can be observed in his artworks.
