About: 

Michael Sharp is professor of English Literature. He graduated from universities in the United Kingdom and the United States. His PhD is from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Michael Sharp has taught in Scotland, Greece, Portugal, and Nigeria as well as Binghamton University, Harvard University, and the University of Wisconsin-Madison. He has been a Teaching Fellow at the International School of Theory in the Humanities at the University of Santiago de Compostela in Galicia. Trained as a Romanticist, Michael Sharp teaches in both the MA and the Caribbean Studies PhD programs. His research focuses on the literature of both Anglophone Africa and the Caribbean Diaspora. Michael Sharp’s poetry has been published on both sides of the Atlantic.
