Resumen: La ciudad de Ponce fue escenario de una fugaz pero sólida exposición titulada Proyecto Libre I. En ella, la curadora Cheryl Hartup quiso hacer un homenaje a los creadores que desde el sur se expresan contribuyendo al ámbito plástico del país, pero nunca imaginó que esos mismos artistas terminarían rindiéndole homenaje a ella.

Abstract: Proyecto Libre I is a fleeting but convincing project opened in the city of Ponce. Curator Cheryl Hartup wanted to pay tribute to artists that contribute, with their work in the South, to the local art scene. She never imagined that those same artists would end up paying tribute to her.

Rompecabezas VI

Resumen: Rompecabezas vuelve a ser el título de la exposición anual de la facultad de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Puerto Rico, que este año cumple su sexta edición. Esta conjugación de piezas es fruto de la actividad continua y de las inquietudes artísticas de sus profesores, en su voluntad de compartir y contrastar sus creaciones con el estudiantado.

Abstract: Rompecabezas (Puzzle) is again the title of the annual faculty exhibition at the Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico, which this year celebrates its sixth edition. This combination of artworks is the result of the continuous activity and artistic concerns of the faculty, in their will to share and contrast their creations with the students.

40 años de Guatíbiri

Resumen: Guatíbiri abrió sus puertas hace cuarenta años, como galería y taller de enmarcación, en el centro de Río Piedras. Rubén Malavé, su fundador, ha llenado sus paredes cada dos semanas, durante cuatro décadas, para inaugurar alrededor de 1,920 exposiciones. S. Damary Burgos documenta esta gesta y entrevista a su protagonista.

Abstract: Guatíbiri opened its doors forty years ago, as a gallery and a framing workshop, at the center of Río Piedras. Rubén Malavé, its founder, has filled the gallery’s walls every two weeks, for four decades, inagurating around 1,920 exhibitions. S. Damary Burgos documents this achievement and interviews its protagonist.
