Trópicos en el 20-20

Resumen: El espacio de exhibiciones 20-20, situado en la Calle Cerra (en Santurce), presentó la exhibición colectiva que llevaba como título Tropicaleo: una provocación caribeña. La muestra reta, de manera incisiva y cínica, el cliché del paraíso tropical y muestra las contradicciones que supone vivir en un Caribe paradisiaco.

Abstract: The exhibition space 20-20, situated at Cerra Street (in Santurce), presented the colective exhibition titled Tropicaleo: una provocación caribeña [Tropicaleo: a caribbean provocartion]. The show challenges, in an incisive and cynic manner, the clichè of tropical paradise and presents the contradictions that involve living in a Caribbean paradise.

…y donde hay negocio, hay política también

Resumen: Entre el 5 de abril al 3 de mayo se encuentra disponible en la Galería Agustina Ferreyra la exhibición colectiva Donde hay protesta, hay negocio, curada por Marina Reyes Franco, en la que se reúnen piezas de seis artistsa latinoamericnaos: Ricardo Alcaide, Gala Berger, Carolina Caycedo, Marcelo Cidade, Livia Corona y Guillermo E. Rodríguez.

Abstract: Donde hay protesta, hay negocio, curated by Marina Reyes Franco, opened at Galería Agustina Ferreyra, from April 5th to May 3rd 2014. The exhibition brings together artworks by these Latin American artists: Ricardo Alcaide, Gala Berger, Carolina Caycedo, Marcelo Cidade, Livia Corona and Guillermo E. Rodriguez.

Coraje y desobediencia: artistas puertorriqueñas en el Festival Miradas de Mujeres

Resumen: Dos artistas puertorriqueñas, Carmen Mojica y Nora Quintero, participan junto a otras creadoras latinoamericanas y valencianas en el Festival Miradas de Mujeres 2014, organizado por la asociación Mujeres en las Artes Visuales en España. El festival tiene como objetivo visibilizar el trabajo creativo de mujeres artistas y de reflexionar sobre sus particulares miradas.

Abstract: Two Puerto Rican artists, Carmen Mojica and Nora Quintero, participate together with other Latin American and Valencian female creators in the Festival Miradas de Mujeres 2014 [Women’s Gazes Festival], organized by the association of Women in the Visual Arts in Spain. The festival aims to make visible the creative work of women artists and to reflect upon their particular views.
