Resumen: Mar Adentro es una exhibición que acoge la obra de nueve artistas del Caribe y su diáspora en el Museo de
Arte Contemporáneo de Puerto Rico, la cual tiene como eje común el agua y su significado para quienes habitan en esta
área geográfica. En conjunto, las obras invitan a explorar y dialogar sobre la persistencia del colonialismo, reconociendo
también los vínculos históricos y míticos del agua como elemento generador de vida.
Abstract: Mar Adentro, an exhibition presented at the Museo de Arte Contemporáneo de Puerto Rico, brings together the work of nine artists from the Caribbean and its diaspora. Anchored in the theme of water and its manifold meanings for
those who inhabit this region, the exhibition opens a space for reflection and dialogue on the persistence of colonialism. At the same time, it acknowledges the historical and mythical ties of water as a vital and generative element.
