Resumen: Ya se acabó es el título de la reciente exhibición individual del artista y educador puertorriqueño José Luis Vargas. La puesta en escena de un mundo psicológico e intensamente conflictivo, plasmado en siete pinturas de gran formato, remite a un formalismo que transita hacia una estética rebelde y contestataria, para develar imágenes tan cínicas como dolorosas.
Abstract: Ya se acabó [It’s Already Over] is the title of the recent solo exhibition by the Puerto Rican artist and educator José Luis Vargas. The staging of an intensely conflictive and psychological world, represented in seven large-format paintings, refers to a formalism moving towards a rebellious aesthetic, in order to reveal images that are both cynical and painful.
