Para ello, emplea modelos de belleza que tratan de \u201cblanquear\u201d y \u201cadelgazar\u201d el cuerpo con rutinas de asociacio\u0301n que, finalmente, no coinciden con su propia identidad, dando como resultado un disfraz impuesto que no alcanza el objetivo de producir felicidad.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 120%;\">Abstract:<\/b><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 120%;\"> In the exhibition To Be&#8230;, artist Lilliam Nieves represents her body in video artworks, using the intersection of words in her drawings, with the purpose of making a socio-cultural critique on issues such as the Puerto Rican diaspora and their reasons to be, or not to be.
