La gesti\u00f3n de sus artistas fundadores ha sido motivo de numerosas exposiciones y ensayos que demuestran la importancia de su fundaci\u00f3n. Entre los eventos relevantes del Centro se celebraron exposiciones, los talleres de arte y la publicaci\u00f3n de portfolios gr\u00e1ficos asociados a la identidad puertorrique\u00f1a y su definici\u00f3n. A pesar de la notoriedad del CAP, hasta el momento no se hab\u00edan identificado fotograf\u00edas que definieran la distribuci\u00f3n y los objetivos de sus instalaciones. Despu\u00e9s de 73 a\u00f1os de su fundaci\u00f3n, el historiador Jos\u00e9 Correa Vigier rescat\u00f3 las primeras im\u00e1genes que ilustran los interiores del CAP, algunos de sus miembros fundadores y asociados, y el contexto y los prop\u00f3sitos de sus espacios.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 120%;\"><strong>Abstract:<\/strong> The Puerto Rican Art Center, an art gallery and creative space, founded in 1950 and known by its initials (CAP), presented a transitional plastic proposal towards the new definition of modern art and identity in Puerto Rico. The management of its founding artists has been the reason for numerous exhibitions and essays that demonstrate the importance of its foundation. Among the relevant events of the Center were exhibitions, art workshops and the publication of graphic portfolios associated with the Puerto Rican identity and its definition. Despite the notoriety of the CAP, up to now no photographs had been identified that would illustrate the distribution and objectives of its facilities.
