Resumen:<\/strong> El pasado verano de 2017, la decimocuarta edici\u00f3n de Documenta, uno de los eventos de arte contempor\u00e1neo m\u00e1s reconocidos internacionalmente, se celebr\u00f3 por primera vez fuera de Kassel (Alemania), compartiendo sede con la ciudad de Atenas. Los curadores buscaban as\u00ed desplazar la atenci\u00f3n del evento hacia la capital griega, evidenciando la profunda crisis econ\u00f3mica que ahogaba al pa\u00eds y el pulso que manten\u00eda con Alemania por el pago de una asfixiante deuda. Los paralelismos con la actual situaci\u00f3n en Puerto Rico se hacen, entonces, evidentes.<\/span><\/p>\n

Abstract:<\/strong> Last summer of 2017, the fourteenth edition of Documenta, one of the most internationally recognized contemporary art events, was held for the first time outside of Kassel (Germany), sharing headquarters with the city of Athens. The curators sought to shift the attention of the event to the Greek capital, evidencing the profound economic crisis that drowned the country and the pulse it maintained with Germany for the payment of a suffocating debt. The parallels with the current situation in Puerto Rico are, then, evident.<\/span><\/p>\n
