Resumen:<\/strong> El g\u00e9nero f\u00edlmico de la ciencia ficci\u00f3n, pese a estar instalado en un tiempo futuro, busca establecer v\u00ednculos directos con el presente o con el pasado m\u00e1s reciente. Gran parte de sus tramas se derivan de debates generados por la cultura popular paralelamente a la aparici\u00f3n de tales pel\u00edculas, y entre ellos se encuentra la concepci\u00f3n de la modernidad arquitect\u00f3nica y urban\u00edstica. Pel\u00edculas como Metr\u00f3polis<\/em> y Fahrenheit 451<\/em> ponen sobre la mesa el debate de su pertinencia, as\u00ed como de su transformaci\u00f3n desde la utop\u00eda dise\u00f1ada sobre el papel a la distop\u00eda derivada de su construcci\u00f3n.<\/span><\/p>\n

Abstract:<\/strong> The science fiction film genre, despite being set in a future time, seeks to establish direct links with the present or the more recent past. A large part of its plots derive from debates generated by popular culture in parallel with the appearance of such films, and among them is the concept of architectural and urban modernity. Films such as Metropolis<\/em> and Fahrenheit 451<\/em> bring to the table the debate of their relevance, as well as their transformation from the utopia designed on paper to the dystopia derived from their construction.<\/span><\/p>\n
