Resumen<\/b>: Este n\u00famero re\u00fane un grupo de recientes investigaciones sobre la historia del arte en Puerto Rico, en las que un conjunto de mujeres son protagonistas, tanto en el \u00e1mbito de la creaci\u00f3n como en determinados aspectos de su identidad y su iconograf\u00eda, entre otros. A trav\u00e9s de acercamientos tanto hist\u00f3rico-art\u00edsticos como historiogr\u00e1ficos, se documentan e interpretan unas producciones que plantean un reto para distintas facetas de la disciplina, en sus propios contextos temporales y culturales, y que aqu\u00ed se estudian reconociendo su valiosa aportaci\u00f3n a este campo de conocimiento.<\/span><\/p>\n

Abstract<\/b>: This issue features recent research in art history in Puerto Rico, focusing on a group of women as protagonists, either as creators or in different aspects of their identity and iconography. Using both art historical and historiographic approaches, documentation and interpretation is provided in terms of how these women challenge different aspects of the discipline within temporal and cultural contexts, and in recognition of their important contributions to this field of knowledge.\u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
