La fotograf\u00eda que cierra este extraordinario archivo es la de la m\u00e1scara mortuoria de su hijo mayor, Erich. Esta elecci\u00f3n del fot\u00f3grafo alem\u00e1n abre una serie de distintos planteamientos que incitan a la reflexi\u00f3n, entre los que est\u00e1n la mirada del autor y su relaci\u00f3n con el sujeto protagonista, el contenido hist\u00f3rico de la imagen y su carga pol\u00edtica, su composici\u00f3n, su valor documental y de \u00edndice, su cuestionable objetividad, as\u00ed como su contexto en el marco de la fotograf\u00eda coet\u00e1nea y su simb\u00f3lica funci\u00f3n en la producci\u00f3n del artista.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 120%; font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;\"><strong>Abstract:<\/strong> <em>Menschen des 20. Jahrhunderts<\/em> (<em>People of the 20th Century<\/em>) is the vast photographic project that August Sander developed, not without dramatic obstacles, over four decades. The photograph that ends this extraordinary archive is that of the death mask of his eldest son, Erich.
