Historia del proyecto<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

El proyecto Clasificadores en la Lengua de Se\u00f1as de Puerto Rico<\/strong><\/em> fue subvencionado por el Fondo Institucional para la Investigaci\u00f3n (FIPI) del Decanato de Estudios Graduados e Investigaci\u00f3n (DEGI) de la Universidad de Puerto Rico Recinto de R\u00edo Piedras (UPR-RP). Comenz\u00f3 en el primer semestre del a\u00f1o acad\u00e9mico 2023-2024 con el dise\u00f1o de los materiales e instrumentos de investigaci\u00f3n. Durante esa etapa inicial, se llev\u00f3 a cabo, con \u00e9xito, un periodo de prueba que permiti\u00f3 continuar con la investigaci\u00f3n de la lengua de se\u00f1as de Puerto Rico (LSPR). Se presentaron los resultados preliminares en la Jornada Cient\u00edfica Latinoamericana del Centro Nacional de Superaci\u00f3n y Desarrollo del Sordo (CENDSOR) en 2023. A principios del a\u00f1o siguiente (2024), se presentaron consideraciones importantes a la hora de investigar con personas sordas en Caribbean Without Borders<\/em> (CWB). Luego, a finales de ese mismo a\u00f1o (2024), se divulgaron los resultados que se obtuvieron de la investigaci\u00f3n de los clasificadores. Dicha presentaci\u00f3n se realiz\u00f3 en la conferencia Sign 10<\/em>, auspiciada por la University of West Indies<\/em> en Trinidad y Togabo. El proyecto culmina el segundo semestre del a\u00f1o acad\u00e9mico 2024-2025, pero se continuar\u00e1 analizando la lengua de se\u00f1as de Puerto Rico.\u00a0<\/p>

Antes de la investigaci\u00f3n:<\/span><\/strong><\/p>

Investigaci\u00f3n comprometida con la comunidad (Community-engaged research [CEnR]):<\/strong>Tener una persona sorda en el equipo de investigaci\u00f3n.<\/p>

Acceso ling\u00fc\u00edstico: <\/strong>Contactar a los futuros participantes sordos en su lengua materna. Una segunda opci\u00f3n es tener un se\u00f1ante oyente o un int\u00e9rprete de LS.<\/p>

Perspectiva sorda dentro del dise\u00f1o de investigaci\u00f3n: <\/strong>Colaborador\/investigador sordo.<\/p>

Difundir los resultados: <\/strong>Haga que los hallazgos est\u00e9n accesibles en lengua de se\u00f1as. Presente en conferencias y simposios locales, y eventos de ONGs de sordos.<\/p>

Reconocimiento de los participantes: <\/strong>No revele caracter\u00edsticas espec\u00edficas de los participantes; pero reconozca su participaci\u00f3n.<\/p>
