He also taught briefly at the University of Port Harcourt, Nigeria; University of Ghana, Ghana; and McMaster University, Canada.&nbsp; He is a poet with four poetry books and a fifth forthcoming. His poetry has appeared in several journals, books and anthologies such as <em>The Mouth Critical Studies on Language, Culture and Society<\/em>; <em>The Caribbean Writer<\/em>; <em>Eleven Eleven<\/em>; <em>The Prairie Schooner<\/em>; <em>Kola: A Multicultural Magazine<\/em>; <em>Interviewing the Caribbean<\/em>; <em>In Positive Interferences: Unsettling resonances in the study of the languages, literatures and cultures of the Greater Caribbean and beyond<\/em>, <em>International Journal of Research in Medical and Health Sciences;<\/em> etc. He has published numerous articles in peer reviewed books and literary journals such as <em>Sargasso:<\/em> <em>A Journal of Literature, Language &amp; Culture<\/em>; <em>Caribbean Studies;<\/em><em> Journal of the Motherhood Initiative<\/em>, <em>ARIEL: A Review of International English Literature<\/em>,<em> La Torre; <\/em><em>Monograph Series of NAAAS &amp; Affiliate;, <\/em>&nbsp;<em>Confluences Essays on the New Canadian Literature; <\/em><em>Memories of Caribbean Futures Reclaiming the pre-colonial to imagine a post-colonial in the languages, literatures and cultures of the Greater Caribbean and beyond<\/em>;<em> Archaeologies of Erasures and Silences Recovering othered languages literatures and cultures in the Dutch Caribbean and beyond<\/em>; <em>Myth Performance in the African Diasporas: Ritual, Theatre and Dance;<\/em> presented papers at numerous international conferences on Caribbean, African American, and African literature.
