Islands in Between Conference:
Language, Literature & Cultures of the Eastern Caribbean
|
The UWI-Cave Hill and the University of Puerto Rico collaborate in the holding of an annual conference which focuses on the literature, language and culture of the Eastern Caribbean. Known as the “Islands In Between” Conference, it takes place in different islands where there is no university campus, and the basic motivation is to bring a university presence to each island, make contact with local students and scholars, engage them in joint discussions on Eastern Caribbean literature, language and culture and to encourage research in these areas.
