Brief biography |

Dr. Gloria E. Velázquez de Alamo is an alumna of the University of Puerto Rico School of Education, with a major in English. She continued graduate studies at New York University and completed her doctoral degree in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages in 1994. She was an Associate Professor of English at the Interamerican University for more than 25 years where she taught all basic English courses and English major courses. Since 1999, she has been involved in different part-time activities with The San Juan Star, The College Board, The Council of Higher Education, Distance Learning Courses, Tri/Lin Integrated Services and others. In addition, Dr. Velazquez has given workshops related to the field of education and the teaching of English.
